Privacy policy
This policy explains what information Room Calculators (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this website, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: the calculators work without an account, and the room measurements you enter are calculated in your browser and are not sent to us or saved by us.
1. Calculator inputs
Every calculation runs locally in your web browser. The dimensions, prices, and other values you type are not transmitted to our servers, stored in a database, or shared with analytics or advertising partners. If you use “Copy result link”, your inputs are placed in the link’s web address so the result can be reopened; that link stays with you unless you choose to share it. Our analytics setup is configured not to record those link parameters.
2. Information you send us
When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, topic, the calculator you chose, and your message. We use this only to read and answer your message and to fix any problem you report. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person rather than a bot is sending it, and the message is delivered to our inbox by our email provider, Resend. We also send you one automatic confirmation email so you know it arrived. See the Resend privacy policy and the Cloudflare privacy policy. We keep messages only as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of corrections, and we do not sell or rent them.
3. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical data to deliver pages and protect the service, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. These server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to understand which calculators and guides are useful. It uses cookies or similar technologies to collect usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and interactions such as switching units or opening a related calculator. We do not send your measurements or any personal identifiers to Google Analytics. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services. 4. Advertising and cookies
This site is supported by advertising and may display ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and other sites on the internet.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before non-essential cookies are used for advertising or analytics, and you can change your choice at any time from the privacy options link shown by the consent message. Ads may still be shown without personalization if you decline.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The calculators keep working without cookies.
5. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the calculators and guides.
- To answer messages and act on corrections.
- To measure which pages are useful, in aggregate.
- To support the site through advertising.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
Where privacy laws require a legal basis, we rely on your consent (for non-essential cookies), our legitimate interest in running and improving a free website, and the need to respond to requests you send us.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only with the service providers described above (hosting, form delivery, analytics, and advertising) to operate the site, or when required by law. Some US state laws treat the use of advertising cookies as “sharing” or “targeted advertising”; you can opt out using the controls in section 4 or your browser’s Global Privacy Control setting where supported.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Since we do not store calculator inputs, the only personal information we usually hold is what you send through the contact form. To make a request, use the contact form. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Children
This site is intended for adults planning home projects and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security and international transfers
The site is served over HTTPS. Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries, under their own safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we keep the information we hold to a minimum.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
